Jayalakshmi Nanda Ji was the Guest of honour for the Girls Foot cricket Match, she greeted the players enthusiastically.
Drona won the toss and choose to bowl first.Harni and Akshaya opened for Team Abhimanyu, their score was 29 runs at the end of 2 overs. The first wicket fell for Team Abhimanyu when their Player Harini was dismissed with a catch out.At the end of 5 overs, Abhimanyu’s score was 58 runs.
Akshay from Team Abhimanyu was dismissed by a catch out by Mamatha who was from Team Drona.At the end of 6 overs, Abhimanyu’s score was 69 runs. Drona needed 70 to win the match.
Aishwarya and Rupal opened for Team Drona. Their score at the end of 2 overs was 18 runs. The first wicket fell for Team Drona when their player Rupal was dismissed by a catch out.At the end of 5 overs, their score was 48 runs. Match had become tense for both the teams as the last over approached. Team Drona needed 11 runs to win from the last 2 balls, however, Abhimanyu won by 2 runs.
It was a well-played match by both the teams. Abhimanyu has paved their way to the finals, waiting for their opponents, which will be decided in tomorrow’s match between Team Arjuna and Team Krishna.
