Team Abhimanyu Vs Team Arjuna
Deekshita won the toss for Team Abhimanyu and elected to bowl first. Anjana, the star of the semi-final started off the innings well for Team Arjuna but couldn’t maintain her form throughout. With Sunita, Anita and Sraddha’s partnerships, Team Arjuna maintained a consistent run-rate. With a fierce innings of Shreeya in the last couple of overs, Team Arjuna made a whopping score of 111/3 at the end of 8 overs.
Akshaya and Harni kicked off the innings for Team Abhimanyu chasing a Himalayan target of 112. With a tight field set up by Arjuna, Abhimanyu started losing wickets and couldn’t find the gaps for the boundaries. Harni struggled till the end, but couldn’t help Team Abhimanyu make the target. At the end of 8 overs, Abhimanyu managed to make 68/2 giving Team Arjuna win by 43 runs.
Team Arjuna emerged as the winners of the first Footcricket event of the first Kurukshetra at CVV.
